You know a new HR technology is entering the mainstream when a defense contractor starts using it. Such is the case with Pay-Per-Click job advertising, better known as "PPC advertising." I use Google's Gmail as my primary email application, and this afternoon one of my emails was served up with a PPC advertisement for Northrop-Grumman (see image).
PPC advertising is highly targeted, and PPC advertisers only pay when a candidate clicks their ad. Honestly, there's no reason not to integrate PPC advertising into your recruiting efforts -- but its cost effectiveness will vary greatly depending on your expertise.
If you're an HR manager and want to get on the PPC advertising bandwagon, check out Catherine Seda's new comprehensive course on PPC advertising. Catherine has spoken at SearchEngineWatch conferences, and her book Search Engine Advertising is a bestseller.
At $997, Catherine's 5-CD course may seem pricey. But that amount will be lost in the rounding of the recruiting and job-board posting fees your company will save in the long run. Click here for more information.
