A PhD from MIT, Alan is a regular speaker at industry events, including Shop.org, Jupiter Media's Search Engine Strategies, and the DMA's annual conference. Alan writes the popular online retailing column for Catalog Success and has been quoted extensively in DM News, Catalog Age, Direct magazine, Business Week, The New York Times, and The Economist. Whew!
