Definitely agree with the need to quantify. It's one reason marketers have been blown off as not being realistic.

Then again, I often wonder about the confessions of more than one CEO who used to be addicted to measurement. They said their true source of decision making wasn't the numbers, it was gut feeling and intuition.

I find the 4 goals very helpful. These are definitely tough questions to answer but having the right answers on-hand really helps to win the job.
