ATLANTA, GA - Jack Welch was famous for telling his managers "When the rate of change in your industry exceeds the rate of change in your company -- you're in trouble."
Recruiters, consider the following video, which I'm sure was made with a low (or no) budget. Can you see a time when candidates might not only materially modify their paper resumes and LinkedIn profiles -- but alter their video resumes and portfolios as well? "Is that 30-second clip of my VP-level candidate being interviewed by CNN real?" In a complex world, what is reality -- and what are the recruiter's responsibilities to know it, interpret it, or disclose it? Example.
IMHO: It has never been easier for candidates to bring plastic surgery to their online image, making third party recruitment a potential liability mine field.
What's your opinion?
