User satisfaction in terms of usability and performance must be the top goals of any web site master. It takes a lot of discipline not to get lost in technological warfare.

I agree that user friendly navigation is of utmost imprtance for a website to keep the user interested long enough to consider further exploration of the site.

You are right. Usability is really very important because this will engage more visitors to explore your site. And the longer they stay, the more likely they will purchase something.

Optimization isn’t an issue the significant thing to consider is friendly usability of a site. You are absolutely right that most of the visitors are impatient and they don’t have much time to explore if they find a site very complicated. Unsurprisingly, visitor will leave you behind and make some healthy sales from your competitor. In addition, if you face this kind of situation then just ask those people who were about to make sales but didn’t. Ask them what went wrong with them and make necessary changes in site design.

Hm, really interesting tips. I totally agree that a lot of people who complain that they don't get people to stay on their site simply aren't following great design practices. I'll need to try following your steps for keeping an eye on competition; that definitely looks helpful. Maybe it would also be helpful to search for videos by the competition on YouTube. I think a good way to get exposure in general for any brand these days is to run a video on YouTube, Vimeo, and AdWido. It's free anyway.
