Hi Harry,
Your account has been disabled because you have violated Facebook's Terms of Use.
Abusing the features of the site to spam other people is not permitted. In addition, it is a violation of our Terms of Use to use one's account for advertising or promotional puroses [sic]. I'm sorry, but you will no longer be able to use Facebook. This decision is final. [my bold]
Thanks for your understanding,
Anthony

Hi there.
I am a new Facebook member, and I was learning your application and I
realized I could invite my Gmail list to join (all 4600 of them). So
I did.
Did I do something wrong? I thought that's what I was supposed to do.
Kind regards,
Harry Joiner

Kyle,
You obviously missed the news about Jobster's new partnership with Facebook. Perhaps you didn't read my posts.
Facebook's management is indeed going to make Facebook a fertile stomping ground for recruiters, both corporate and third-party. That's a fact.
Regardless, my overarching concern wasn't that I got booted for spamming (if you can call it that) my own address book.
My concern was that Facebook kicked me off permanently without warning nor recourse after enabling me to inhale an address book of 4600 people.
Please re-read the posts.

Facebook is a networking site its not really intended as a marketing tool or recruiters dream....by importing that many users your akin to spam or a bot...I am not really surprised that you were banned due to the TOS

I have tried myspace and facebook but every profile is of a 23 year old doing jello shots off someone abs...this is networking for professionals? Dont drink the koolaid about facebook, there's a very low percentage of profesisonals let alone employed people using that. I have only seen 2 sites that have professional profiles that impresses me. There is a site called Linkedin and a site called Congoo. Both those sites have some high quality executive profiles and a serious feel to the site.
