Random thought: I'm no demographer, and I don't market stuff to the New Silent Generation. But I was having a "spirited discussion" tonight with my 8 year old daughter, and this I know: If 50 is the new 40, and 40 is the new 30, then somehow 8 is the new 12, and 12 is the new 18. I forget what 18 is. Maybe it is what it is.
Now more than ever, does it seem to you like marketers are compressing everyone in our society, mentally, into the same 18-34 year old age group?
