Further to my recent post about the hiring practices at Google, there's a nice article by Google's CEO, Eric Schmidt, in a recent issue of Newsweek. Mr. Schmidt agrees with Peter Drucker that the companies who attract the best performers will "secure the biggest single factor for competitive advantage in the next 25 years."
That's a long time, especially for a company like Google: Who knows what Google's industry, business, and organization will look like in 2030? One can only imagine. Which means that the onus is on Google to interview for personality traits as much as technical skills.
